When things slow down

| Slow on every country | Run a speed test with Bebra PROXY switched off. The PROXY runs on top of your internet plan, and that plan sets the ceiling. |
| Pages heavy with images load slowly | Switch to a country nearer to you from the top group. Every reply from a site passes through the PROXY server, and a short route shows most on pages that make hundreds of requests. |
| Only local sites are slow | Tap Tunnel, choose Manual and add the sites or IP addresses that should skip the PROXY. Your bank or local streaming service then stops making a round trip abroad. |
| A big download slows down, or the connection drops | Open Account → Settings → Find working server. Within two minutes the app re-checks the server, swaps its IP if needed and keeps multihop as the last resort. |

Why is my connection slower with the PROXY on?
Your data travels through a server in another country, so the route gets longer. How much you lose depends on your provider and the distance, so compare two or three countries from the top of the grid.
Which protocol is the fastest?
Nothing to choose here. Bebra PROXY picks the protocol and route from VLESS + REALITY, XHTTP, Hysteria2 and Shadowsocks, and moves to another route if the current one stops working.
Is multihop slower?
Yes. Traffic passes through an intermediate server in a third country, so the path is longer. On Automatic, multihop only turns on when the connection can’t do without it.
